Free for all Friday!
2October 26, 2012 by Diana Palka
One of the very first posts I ever made on this blog was called Free for all Friday. It was basically just a little weekly round up of things I stumbled upon on the internet and loved for whatever reason – whether they were funny, useful, interesting, cute, etc. – and wanted to share them because it was (finally!) Friday.
And I liked it – so I’m doing it again.
>>For one, on Monday I found this ridiculously simple slash delicious looking wing recipe on the Yahoo! homepage. Blake and I are on a mission to make these the next time we’re together watching football on a lazy Sunday. If our wings come out looking this perfect, I vow to quit my job and open up a wing franchise with ridiculous food and drink specials. I’ll keep you updated.
>>And at some point this week some of my favorite girls on the whole wide web Tweeted about True&Co. (think ShoeDazzle, but for ridiculously high-quality and custom-fit bras). If you haven’t heard about or checked out Treu&Co., you need to ASAP. Their survey/”fitting” takes less than five minutes (no measuring necessary!) and they send you 5 bras recommended for YOU to try RISK FREE! (I ordered mine in the mail on Wednesday and can’t wait to get them and give them a try!)
>>About a month ago, after muchmuch prayer, I decided I should start informally meeting with an older, wise Christian woman and enter into a discipleship/mentorship relationship with her. I was super nervous about asking the woman I felt God leading me to and I had no idea how to go about it. I resorted to a Facebook message – thinking it was probably way easier to accept rejection over an inbox message rather than in person. (Thankfully, this wonderful woman said yes and we have been meeting on a weekly basis and just sharing our hearts and talking about life and all the ways God’s hand is working in it. It has been such a huge blessing and comfort to me.) But, this week, I stumbled upon this wonderful blog post written by Anne over at Modern Mrs. Darcy. If you’re thinking about entering a mentorship relationship (which I highly recommend– we need Godly counsel, we need His wisdom through the hearts and souls of those who have gone before us!), read this. You won’t regret it – it might even humble you.
>>If you’re in a romantic relationship, single, ever planing on being in a romantic relationship or any of the in-between, read this article on giving love and accepting it. I’ll leave the rest up to you. (PS, I love you Thought Catalog!)
>>Lastly, a recipe for HOMEMADE PEANUT BUTTER CUPS. You can thank me later.
Happy Friday!

ooh, I love that Thought Catalogue article. so so good.
Oh, I love your mentoring story! Hey, there’s no harm in a facebook message–you all are meeting, right? That’s what’s important!
